Tennis balls and other small balls are very dangerous.
Small balls like a tennis ball etc. are dangerous and can and do get stuck in a dogs throat, no matter what size the dog, they can cause the dog to choke and block up its airways. In the last few years three dogs have choked to death because of this in our local park, a Collie, Rottie and Boxer. All is not lost you can buy balls with holes cut through them so if they are swallowed the dog can still breath a bit, they are also on a string. Please bear this in mind when you next buy a ball for your dog. The Boomer balls sound great and fit for purpose.

Boomer balls are great but I wouldn't discount Tennis balls etc as a danger when a dog is properly supervised, with ours they generally get destroyed the moment they hit the teeth anyway and then it's straight to the bin

The Chuck It balls that Rocky has do have a hole in them. He is always supervised when he is playing anyway.

Rocky also has a boomer ball which he loves, a bit noisy inside but great fun in the snow over at the tennis courts
