tennis balls?
Lola loves chasing tennis balls. even if she's out of breath and on her back with no interest in anything, if one gets thrown, its hers
the pets at home ones last 30 seconds...
the £5 for four ones lasted a little longer... (about a minute)
but one i found in the field the other day, that must be a fair few years old, Lola cannot destroy. all the green has gone off it, but she cant find a way to chew into it. so, anybody have any ideas where i can get some more old weathered tennis balls?
or failing that, does anyone know where to get some indestructable ones?

Re: tennis balls?
We got Rocky a pack of these Chuck It balls about a year ago and they are still the same as the day we got them. It does seem like they are expensive, but how often do you want to replace a ball for your dog ?
Very durable and good quality would highly recommend:

Re: tennis balls?
Hi there, I think that certain balls are quite dangerous for any dog to play with, especially tennis balls or the like. Dogs can swallow them with ease and unless you can retrieve it with a minute or so your dog will suffocate. So try and use plastic balls that have large holes in them and are attached to a piece of rope. or large balls that cannot be swallowed.

thanks for the concern Lola's only a small slim staff, she can barely get the tennis ball in her mouth so i'm not overly concerned about her swallowing one, and she only has the balls when she's under supervision (otherwise they get torn up and bits are everywhere haha)

Re: tennis balls?
Only proper tennis balls seem to have any chance of lasting with Tyson. I usually get a bunch of used ones from the local tennis club.

Re: tennis balls?
Used tennis balls are a good idea Lynne. I have tried a pet shop ones and they are cheap, of poor quality and last 30 seconds. Get mine from the sports shop chains, there are 2 on most high streets. One of them always has a sale on and the branded tennis balls cost between £1.99 - 2.99. Tried the solid rubber balls, but hard on jaws and heavy, if pieces come off could choke.

Re: tennis balls?
The new ones from shops last about 20 seconds with Taz too - but I've been using some orange Slazenger tennis balls from about 20 years ago that last ages

Re: tennis balls?
I've yet to find any ball small enough for Dempsey to pick up that is robust enough to last him more than 60 seconds.
