Rosie peeing everywhere....
Help!!
This sounds like me! Except for the afraid of men part... My Staffy is 18mo and was house trained at her previous owners house where she was let out in the morning and night and would go to the toilet. Since being at my house, she pees and poos in my garage. I don't mind the poo, that's easy to clean up, but her pee is a real pain to get rid of. I'm renting and knowing that the smell of her pee and pee stains are embedded in the concrete is starting to stress me out. She won't poo on walks but if I walk her on grass long enough she'll pee. She went 3 days without peeing in the garage but now has done so twice in the last 24 hours. I can't seem to catch her in the act quick enough to a) train her to go outside and b) clean it up before it soaks into the concrete.... I have pee pads laid out and she's peed on them twice but hasn't since... Help!

Re: Rosie peeing everywhere....
I've moved this to its own thread so you will get more views.
What is the routine for walking/feeding/bed time? When does she pee more, or is it just random times? I take it her bed is in the garage?

Re: Rosie peeing everywhere....
I walk her every morning at around 6-6:30am and in the late afternoon we go for a walk down to the river. She pees and poos overnight the most, while I'm sleeping. She drank a lot of water yesterday and I woke up this morning to a huge pee stain! And a poo. She sleeps just outside my door at night. She gets fed in the garage. Sometimes she does pee during the day but I can never catch her. In my other thread called "Potty Training (Again)" one of you mentioned trying Baking Soda to get rid of the smell and making a paste, but I tried Bi Carb as I was told that gets rid of smells too. I did that and could still smell it and the stain was still there. I brushed up the dried up Bi Carb and then poured over a water/vinegar mix like I've done before which gets rid of the patchiness of the stain but leaves a ring around it. I've ordered this http://www.dealsdirect.com.au/the-pet-loo-starter-puppy-pack-skip-my-loo-formula/ - so I hope it helps. My garage either smells like vinegar, bi carb or pee! It's terrible! Using the vinegar works but the smell won't go away

Re: Rosie peeing everywhere....
What time do you normally go to bed? Can you take her out for a walk just beforehand to see if she'll toilet before bed? You might even need to get up once during the night to let her toilet until she realises what's expected of her.

Re: Rosie peeing everywhere....
It depends really. Between 8:30 and 11 depending on how tired I am. I have a good example for you right now actually. It's currently 7:50pm here and I JUST took her for a walk about 10 minutes ago and went near a lot of grass spots and even waited out the front of my units on the grass to see if she'd pee. We get inside and within 5 minutes of getting in the door and her being right near me she peed on the concrete in the garage just as I turned my back on her. I said a sharp 'No!' and tried encouraging her outside but she just kept peeing with her ears back like she was in some kind of frozen trance. Not until she finished peeing did she head towards the door.

Re: Rosie peeing everywhere....
Wow. What to sugest next.
Did she not pee on the walk at all? I'm beginning to think that whoever had her before you wasn't being quite honest.
Where she lived before, was there a grassed garden or a concrete yard? Was she just let out the back to do what she needed, or actually taken out for a walk?
I take it a vet has ruled out any UTI?

Yeah that's what I'm thinking also.
They live in a unit also, bigger than mine. They have a small grassed yard. I think they may have tried walking her once but gave up cuz she does pull a lot (but I've solved that problem ) her claws are pretty long too so I'd think she was barely let out onto anything hard like concrete. So yeah, they let her into the garden and then brought her back inside.
When I took her to the vet yesterday the general conversation was about her heat and injections. She tested her temperature and checked her over and all was good.

You can get an acid for brushing on to concrete it will take pee stains no problem. http://www.artemisproducts.co.uk/brick-and-concrete-cleaning-moss-rust-and-grafitti-removal/concrete-cleaners-en.html?gclid=CMH59-CbnbQCFSbMtAodETsAOQ try this

Re: Rosie peeing everywhere....
Mornings are short walks around town (small town). In the afternoon/evening she gets about half an hour - 45 minutes.
Thanks for the tips.
I've heard bleach isn't so good though cuz it attracts them to pee in that same spot
