How is your Staff handling the cold?
My boy Ramsey try's to duck the wind lol. He hasn't experienced any nice weather so far in his life and i hate seeing him shiver. He looks ridiculous but i've gotta keep him warm Summer needs to hurry up!

He's gorgeous Loki is a wimp, hates the rain, cold, wind, etc. But I put his coat on him, he has a waterproof one that has fleece on the inside to keep him warm. He still hates it, but he knows there's no choice, so he accepts it

Bailey really doesn't mind the cold, as soon as he's running about he's fine lol!
Sierra seems to love it, she shivers like mad but if you try pick her up and put her in your jacket to heat her up she wriggles to get put back down

Love the blue sweater, he looks stunning in it. Pixee hates the cold, her new two in one coat arrived today, and its been tested half hour ago, and works wonders.

Re: How is your Staff handling the cold?
Percy hates the rain, but isn't bothered by the wind/snow/ice.
I've tried loads of times to get him to wear a coat, but he hates them. He won't move if you put it on him, and if I get the coat out of the cupboard he starts shaking and runs into his crate. So I'm glad he isn't bothered by the cold as wearing a coat isn't an option for him

Re: How is your Staff handling the cold?
What a lovely lad.
Solly loves the cold weather, in fact the colder the better, The more your dog is out in the cold and moving around the more he will get used to it. But it isn't surprising how our dogs catch on to how their owners feel in cold weather Dont be tempted to mollycoddle them they are dogs after all. I am tempted to knit Solly a coat just for fun, but he really does not need it, and I'm sure he would lose all his street cred. Why do some Staffies and Crosses have such very fine coats? Is it because for generations they have lived in centrally heated homes and therefor have thinner coats?

Storm doesn't seem bothered by the weather, if it's really hard rain he won't go for a wee unless I'm going out and then he's out like a shot.

Re: How is your Staff handling the cold?
I think he looks great in his jumper, very smart. Anyway doesn't matter what he looks like so long as he is warm and comfortable same goes for us really.
Rocky has been OK, so far we haven't needed to put his coat on him much yet but I've no doubt that time will come very soon.

Re: How is your Staff handling the cold?
Tilly and Tommy lets just say aren't complaining if they don't go out first thing inb the morning and are very honed at fas toilet stops in the garden, Tilly's solution to cold is to dive under the bed covers. Just waiting for their new 2 in 1 coats to arrive , were going to be xmas presents but the weather dictates they get them early

He looks so cute love the colour on him. Ours have little coats but they generally try to avoid going outside in the cold. On their walks as long as they are running or its not raining they r fine

Re: How is your Staff handling the cold?
Rolo hates the cold and especially wet, we got him a coat just to keep the rain off.... but he ate that the other day after swinging on it from the peg it was hung on
Have started to find though, the last 2 days when i've popped home at lunchtime, that if the heating isn't on he's shivering. He has a very fine coat and little hair on his underside. Now i'm leaving the heating on low all day, but wondering if i too should get him a little jumper, he's fine while he's out running like a loon, but it's those quite moments when i'm gone??

Re: How is your Staff handling the cold?
I Love the blue jumper and what a handsome model!
... is the jumper homemade or did you buy it from somewhere?
My Max has so little fur and looks like a piglet underneath so he wears a fleecy jumper when it's freezing cold outside. Am hoping he'll toughen up as he gets used to the weather.

Re: How is your Staff handling the cold?
So far so good with Kuchar. He is a year old next week.
He has shown aversion to heavy rain (don't we all?) and prefers to do "his doos" indoors (on paper) when invited to go out. He shakes himself a lot (not shivers) when in it whilst on a walk. Rub down with a towel when returning, that's it.
The dry but cold weather he doesn't seem to mind - does his "doos" outside and enjoys his walks and doesn't shiver.
I have not put a coat on him as yet, he doesn't seem to need it. My Dobes with their much thinner finer coats didn't need or indeed welcome a coat - in fact they hated it, what a waste of money!

They love the cold, frost and ice. Marley pushes his shoulder down into frost or snow and powers about with his back legs.
The park is flooded at the mo and its frozen over... We were playing on the ice tonight when they pulled me over...they dont mind the cold at all but i take exception at two wellies full of freezing water.... little sods i swear they were laughing at me flailing about trying to get up
