Charlie seems so sleepy, off his food today too, does the vaccination knock them about a bit? I tried a bit of scrambled egg on his food to tempt him, he had a little but not his usual amount Sad

Thanks Kathy. I have been trying to change his food (he had Pedigree puppy wet and waggs at the rescue kennels we got him from) and have been adding Hills dry....he's not so keen on the biscuits. He is so underweight though, poor thing, they only fed him 2 meals at the kennels and added rice to it. As we are trying to get his weight up it's quite worrying when he doesn't eat Sad

I'd say it was the vaccination! It can make them sleepy, Sierra went off her food a bit after her vaccinations, didn't take much persuasion though lol, just took a bit longer than usual to start eating it!

The same happened to Zeus when he had his first jab.. He was really sluggish and slept most of the day.

He's just woken up and I tried him on nearly a full small tin of pilchards in tomato sauce (Oscar the cat wanted some!! lol) on some Butchers junior....he's very keen on the fish!! Left most of the biscuits. Just jumped up me....lol, blimey his breath stinks now!!!! As it's the first time trying pilchards I hope his tummy will be ok! Smile

Try a little sardine in oil mixed in with his biscuits - that might tempt him to eat.

They often do go a bit off their food after vacinations. dempsey didn't, but then he's a walking stomach. Rolling Eyes

Tried him with sardines on his biscuits, he loves them! Is it best to avoid the ones in brine?
