So I've got some coconuts coming tomorrow...
How do I go about feeding them to the dogs ?
Can they eat the whole thing ? Do I need to remove the hair ? Crack it open for them
Etc ? Plz help lol x

Re: Coconuts ?
Ok so I've been told by a raw feeder who has a huge pack
Of dogs, various breeds, the whole intact coconut can be given, or cracked open, the dogs will tend to only eat the coconut n milk, the shell can be used for future treats/meals as a vessel to hold the food.
I'm gonna get hubby to crack it open so I give half each etc.

Re: Coconuts ?
Just remember that coconut is very high in fibre, so your dog may get a bit of diarrhea if it eats it all

..., ?
Google it !
Clearly some ppl give the entire coconut, some dogs will eat the entire things others will spit out the 'shell'
Friend of mine gives the entire thing, she has 16 dogs. Also she brushes coconut oil thru their coats.

Re: Coconuts ?
I gave one of our Rotties coconut years ago, and it went through him undigested.

Re: Coconuts ?
We have given our 2 coconuts before, just gave them to them whole to play with for a while then cracked them open for them to eat.
Coconut from what I have researched is really good for them a natural dewormer and is good for their coat.
Also just something a little different that's a nice healthy treat for them.
