coconuts
Read on here somewhere about buying coconut for dogs to play with. Bought one for Densil but he is not interested. I have left it whole with the milk still in it and rattled it so he can hear the milk inside, but not bothered about it. Do other people leave them whole or take the milk out first?

Re: coconuts
I keep meaning to try this! Can't remember who said it but they drain the milk out. I asked as we don't have a garden and was worried it would make a mess, thanks for reminder I must give it a go

Re: coconuts
Ok, will try draining the milk out - may be the noise is unsettling him. Is it ok for them to drink the milk?

Re: coconuts
I was going to try one of these too, just try to remember that coconut is high in fibre so be sure to get it away from your dog when it does crack open.

Re: coconuts
Nooo dont throw it, I got some for mine a few weeks back and ended up hacksawing about 2 cm of the end so thay could get to the flesh inside.
its like a super hard Kong but they loved it.
a word of warning though,,, the bits they leave behing are sharp as my foot can attest to

Re: coconuts
I digress, but my mate left one out in her garden and it sent the local squirrel demented trying to get into it!
