I don't know of any clubs that would do all them together, but all of it you could do yourself at home, or go to individual clubs for some

Re: full staffy?
depends how and why they are being used.
I've started conditioning the boys (albeit very slowly) and many would consider that cruel, especially with how lean i keep them.
It's very subjective

That depends. If it's used instead of walks, or if it's used excessively, then yes. If it's used as an extra boost to fitness training, then it's ok. There has to be fun for a dog as well as training for super-muscles!

i would only use it as well as walks i couldn't do without the walks and it wouldn't get used excessively just few times a week or so, just to work on things like speed, stamina muscle tone n so on

Re: full staffy?
Some people do use them excessively & that's to the detriment of the dog. There's no substitute for a good long walk & interacting with your dog on that walk. But treadmills can be useful (although I wouldn't use one for Dempsey) as long as they are used properly.

Re: full staffy?
see i probably will just stick to walks because if the dogs dont want to use them then its unfair to make them were as walking when they are tired they have the freedom ti lay down or stop and rest

The dad looks young. He looks full though. Why was he a "rescue" and if he was from an actual rescue why is he not neutered? If he is a random "someone was looking rid of him" thats not a rescue, and taking him on and letting him breed when they know nothing about him is not very responsible.

Re: full staffy?
Not a big fan of treadmills ... nothing in it for the dog really, and too easy for lazy ppl to use instead of getting their dogs out in the fresh air .. there are much more enriching and healthier ways of building a dogs stamina and CV rate

Just remember Stephen, staffys are naturals with muscle development, its in their DNA, so all it takes is a little tweek here and there and their ginetics do the rest
The most important thing to remember .. is "slowly slowly catchy monkey" .. dont think of even starting to do anything too physically demanding until 16 to 18mths (very important!!) .. keep them active and healthy, feed them GOOD food, and build your bond so that when the time is right, they will work their little heart out and enjoy every minuite
Tho I must point out, once a staffy has been brought up in a very active manner, and enjoys hard work, there is no going back !! .. you will have a workaholic athlete of a dog through to old age, and you HAVE to be able to cater for their needs

Re: full staffy?
Thats cool mate, but what I meant more was that the level, and intensity of excercise is like a drug to a fit staffy, so you must be able to carry that on cus its what your dog will come to expect ... which means you have to carry on what you started regardless of what you feel like, the weather, limited time, etc etc ..
Max is a very high maintance boy now cus he is used to lots of physical activity, and when he dosent get quite enough ... he lets me know

Could not agree more with this.
Recieving emails daily about Staffies not wanted from 9 weeks of age to 14 years of age, a constant stream of emails from pounds with SBT's due to be destroyed and not being able to help, knowing the fate is death for the dogs.
Breeding like this just brakes my heart

Re: full staffy?
Right, The dogs posted in the link will be in a team at the 2013 EU cup. It's held some where in the UK next may. Im trying to find out more info, but copied what i've found so far---We have had the date set for some time and it was my oversite it was not put here
3rd - 6th May 2013 (Its the first May bank holiday)
Adam and Tom have been booked once again for the entertainment on the bank holiday Monday so I suggest everyone who is attending the EU cup books the Tuesday off work
2013 we will be doing things slightly different, the cups will be being given out on the night out not at the field as they have been the last 2 years, the weekend is really a social gathering with dogs sports tagging along, all those who came to the last few doo's will be testament to that.
Friday = Weight Pull to start @ 7pm
Saturday = Trackmill, Lure Racing, Speed Pull
Sunday = Tug of War, Hang Tough, High Jump
Monday = A-Frame, Long jump. :yay: Day ends with the entertainment and awards @ the Pelham Buckle
Proposed costing 2013.......... **May change** We know its been tough financially for all of us so we have tried to keep costs down as much as we can.
£15 per dog to compete (no charge for overseas visitors)
£5 camping for the whole weekend (to be donated to the Kangaroo club, no charge for overseas visitors)
£5 towards the cost of the dog therapist/massager
£15 per person for taxi, food and entertainment @ the Pelham Buckle with Adam and Tom entertaining (£10 for all overseas visitors)
There will be a charge for spectating, £5 (for the whole weekend, not camping, camping is charged as the price above) and your doggie can come too, you really have to be on the ball though, your dog is your responsibility, activities will be going on where dogs are off lead, at these points your dog is best off in a crate or in in the holding area, spectating dogs are not allowed off lead at all.

Re: full staffy?
I cant seem to find any links to UK based teams, but following some posts, peeps in the uk are getting teams together. I'll prob go to watch. It will be nice to see these dogs in action. Also, these dogs earn their ch status without showing. Not sure how it goes, but i'll keep you updated.
