Newbie to the Staffy breed

Hi. My name is Lynnette. A friend of mine referred me to this forum. A different friend of mine has 2 very sweet Staffys that we need to house for about 2 months. There was an emergency with his lease where he was at, and where he has to bunk now can't handle the dogs. We are the only ones with a yard big enough to sustain them until he gets into his new place. I usually have time to research a breed that we will be interacting with because we want to do right by the dog, but with this crunch, I will need the cliff-notes version. Please expect stupid questions from me. If anyone has breed-specific advice, I would greatly appreciate it. (For example, our dog Buster is part Jack Russel and as a breed they have a tendancy to chew everything. With this tendancy, people make the mistake of getting JRs lots of chew toys, but that usually makes things worse because too many choices overloads their ADHD brains and they have difficulty remembering what is and isn't ok to chew. So if you have only 1 thing out they can chew, they can focus on that and leave everything else alone. Another example would be Akitas can easily be house trained because they refuse to defacate in the same area they eat, so just put some food in each room of the house and they won't potty in the house unless they are about to burst.) They will be with us for only 2 months, but we want to take the best care that we can of my friend's dogs and make this as least stressful as possible for them. Thanks.
