Advice please!! Empty Advice please!!

Hi guys, as a lot of you already know Steffi is losing teeth at the speed of light, currently she has about 3 teeth in the front and they are quite lose..

Her diet is dry food and raw chicken necks etc.. This morning and now again tonight when I have given her meals she kinda looks at like "OK mum and how am I spose to eat that?" Laughing Bless her she kinda gums it for a bit then walks away Sad

My question is should I try her on softer food until her teeth come in?? Maybe soak her kibble or wet food?

I'd splash a bit of water on it or drizzle something tasty like yogurt to encourage her to just get on with it !

Carrots are great for teething Smile

I have been giving her frozen carrots, but I havent given her ice cubes.. Couple of days ago she had a frozen ice block as Dylan was having one, BUT, bout 20mins after having it she ran around like crazy biting everything, stealing shoes, chewed the already damaged wall.. I put that down to the sugar in the iceblock, so that was a great learning curve Laughing Laughing She will not be having anymore of them.. I have also rubbed infant teething gel on her gums, she looooves that Big Grin I will defs try ice cubes when she wakes up..

Soaked kibble didn't work out, she turned her nose up at it Rolling Eyes She can be such a Diva..

Next question is How long until new teeth come through???

shouldn't take too long within the next couple of weeks I would say but we didn't really monitor ours , just noticed the nips didnt hurt quite as much.

Question - what is an "Ice Block" I am just thinking a block of ice so can't understand the sugar content so guessing its an english - oz translation thing like durex and thong Laughing

rope toys are good for the chewing and helping the teath out. marleys came out and were replaced within a couple of days, amazing how quick they grow. was getting a bit worried with laska as some of her adult teath were growing next to the puppy ones, giving her quite a scarey grin. then just as I was about to take her to the vets they all started to fall out on there own.

A couple of days & she'll be eating properly again! Her gums are a bit sore, but it honestly won't take long.

Softening the kibble could give her a taste for softer food & she won't like it hard again!

Thanks Caryll, I don't wanna mess with her meals as i have only just got her back to cleaning her bowl.. I'll give her a few days, I may try the yoghurt on her kibble in the morning, and an egg (it will be Sunday brekky after all) and I'm sure she will have no problem eating her sunday bacon Laughing
