Lola continues to amaze me
My cousin came round before with his two children, one of which is autistic. Lola has always been really cautious around him, he's a tad clumsy and doesn't really "notice" Lola is there so she doesn't mither him. Tonight, he gave her a stroke, then as she was sat down, he crouched and gave her a hug from behind. Lola's reaction? Wait til he'd finished, lick his hand, roll onto her back and wag her tail.
Yeah, I felt proud

Lexis butt is my favorite place to hug, until she lets off. Its so cuddly. Great for your nephew, he clearly made a bond with her

Good job Lola xx
They really do just 'know' they are very good on picking up on things.
When my younger sister visited a while bk my girl Diesel who is usually scatty and bonkers with ppl coming in the house was cool, calm and so gentle.
My sister has brain cancer, and it was like Diesel just knew.
She sat by her feet and just gave a lick once or twice.
They sure are amazing dogs x

Lovely to hear, they are so amazing and intuitive aren't they.
Our seven year old Logan is dyspraxic and is on the autistic spectrum, and likewise he doesn't really notice Dexter that much (he's like this with all animals) and Dexter gives him lots of space, seems to know not to try and crowd him etc. Occasionally Logan will give him a little kiss or fuss and Dex is extra gentle with him.

They are wonderful dogs and somehow seem to pick up on things like this. I have heard of dogs knowing when people have cancer, amazing, maybe its in the scent we give off, I dont know.
