Swollen face!!
i've just came home to discover my poor wee pup with swollen lumps all over her face! she has a few at the top of both her eyes, quite a big one on her snout and a few round her mouth!
I was going to give her a piriton because i've read on other post this is good for taking the swelling down?
Should i take her to the vet or see if the piriton works first?
I'm also not sure what has caused it.....i did read about someone else's dog having a bad reaction to a stag bar and i got Diesel her first one on sunday and shes been chewing away on it since so thought it was a bit strange that it would take this long to take a reaction?
She seems totally fine, her usual happy hyper self and doesnt seem to have the swelling anywhere else, i've taken her stag bar away just in case its that...

Re: Swollen face!!
The piritin may work. As long as she is breathing normally it should be okay to wait. I would call the vet and ask their opinion to be safe.

Probally not from the boomer ball or there would be cuts and abrasions. I'm not sure on the pririon dosage or how often to use it. Should be someone smater than me on the subject on line soon.

Re: Swollen face!!
sounds like an allergic reaction and no I wouldn't think it was the stag bar that caused this. Sound more like an insect bite/sting or possibly a plant?
