I feed raw, so I can't help, really. But I would think that you could probably get a better quality dry food, but it would obviously be more expensive.

I would definatly swap to a higher quality food. Basic foods are full of rubbish and adatives. Do your reasearch, theres a great post in the nutritian section about good recommended foods, with a varie of costs.

Re: pets at homecompete puppy food???????????
sounds good to change it i'd never buy a supermarket brand to be honest just don't forget to slowly introduce the food over a period of a week with the old food slowly increasing the amount of new, you could make a clean switch but being so young you may have a diarrehea problem on your hands.

Re: pets at homecompete puppy food???????????
i feed royal canin which was advised to me by a breader and he's doing great he was on bakers at first but its full of E numbers and it wasnt doing his guts any good as he was doing loose poopy's but as soon as he went on the royal canin he carmed down (a little lol) and his digestion was 110% better and its in the top few of the most nutritious dry dog foods aswel

Royal Canin is great, if you do swap buy it over the net, its home delivered and way cheaper. I order once a month, and I really do recommend it. Shes also on a wet/dry mix and loves it x

Re: pets at homecompete puppy food???????????
Pets at home sell a 15kg bag of wainwrights for £32. A few of us here feed it, it's much better quality than supermarket brands and cheap complete food and obviously better value too. I cant speak for everybody but my boy loves wainwrights, it makes his poo firmer and less smelly, and he looks great on it. He's got a nice shiny coat, he's filling out well and is just a happy healthy pup. I would def recommend wainwrights.

Moo is on a sensitivity control because she had really bad guts but its fine also as everyday food. It sorted her tum out and thrives on it, I mix it with the sesitivity control chicken and rice, again very good stuff, I swear by it
