weed killer

Question for the the gardening minded folk, I hear normal weed killer can harm dogs, is anyone aware of pet friendly weed killer? My garden is being invaded please help

the council weed killer make your dog sick i stop taking my dog out while they putting it down now... i would pull the weed up instead of putting weed killer down

I have used pretty strong stuff in the past (mate has a nursery, and son works in a large nursery) .. but if using spray, you MUST do it late on at night, and not let the dog out in the garden till the following day by which time its been absorbed and wont be a problem for them

Steve, that's what I've been doing but somehow it now seems to grow quicker than I can pull them so extra help needed.

Weed killers such as Roundup are fine for animals as soon as it has dried. But to be honest, the weeds are starting to die now anyway, so you'd be wasting your money. You're better off leaving it till the spring.

There are some at Amazon to choose from, some take longer than others for the effects to work though, so depends how quick you want rid of the weeds:

i normally use a blow torch to burn the weeds down iv got a proper one for weeds like a long metal pipe with a gas can in the handle but im sure a normal paint /pipefitting blow lamp would do the same job
