Ear Infections.....
Hey
Just wondered if anyone else had tackled this one?? Apparently ear infections are common in staffies, well so the vet says!
My boy is always getting ear infections, he's been to the vet a few times and has been given various treatments and ointments, but it just keeps coming back!
Lots of head shaking, itching and it gets swollen and yucky. Has anyone tackled this and won???

Re: Ear Infections.....
Yes lol! When I first got Moo she had 3 in year, and at £60 a pop (no repeat pescription!) became rather expensive!
What I did is the cleaner they give you you can buy over the counter, its the anti-bios you can't, I just make sure I regularly clean Moo's ears out and touch wood we haven't have one in over a year now
Appartently according to my vet staffies have narrow ear canals so become more pron to them, no idea if thats true, but we seem to have overcome it, so there is hope XXxX

Thanks Janey
What ear cleaner do you use and how often? It's driving me crazy, just want him to feel better

Re: Ear Infections.....
Thornit is often helpful for mild ear problems (used to be called Canker powder) and is fairly cheap.
