Winter coats!
In your personal opinion, do they really need them? My parents had whippets and lurchers that all wore coats for hunting in the winter as they're so slight and their coats are so thin, but staffies seem so much hardier and I don't know if i'm just being a big girl worrying about her haha! Bis has got hardly any fur on her tummy and is in no way shape or form keen on rain..
I found some of these, what do you guys reckon?

Never thought i'd be buying clothes for my dog

Re: Winter coats!
I got Loki a coat because after the initial going outside in the cold, he enjoys himself, but he still does get very cold and fed up, so I figured if it'll help him enjoy his walk more, why not?

Re: Winter coats!
Hi, just joined this forum today, and we bought our new rescue Staffie a lovely warm coat for the winter months, which is also rainproof and lined with a collar.
She also has a very thin skin on her little pink tummy,so we thought it a good thing to buy one for her...
Also bought her a couple of knitted jumpers for the winter nights...

Re: Winter coats!
Molly doesn't do the cold, her poor practically bald belly gets chilly so we're looking for a coat for her.

Re: Winter coats!
Ooo thanks for all of the tips! Bis doesn't seem to mind the cold but she wouldn't let me know if she did anyway because she's 'ard apparently ... but she has very little fur on her tummy.. Rain, however, is a whole different ball game she just crouches down really low as if it won't be able to get her down there!! Feel a bit mean making her walk in the rain!
Sounds perfect Janey will look into one of those!

Re: Winter coats!
got coat few weeks ago for winter, only had it on once or twice when was raining and strangely he doesnt seems to like it, will continue to pop it in him when weather permits and see if he gets used to it.
It's one of them Danish Design 2 in 1 dog coat "In the summer remove the Polar Fleece lining and the coat is a lightweight waterproof/breathable coat to protect your dog from summer showers. When the weather gets cooler simply re-attach the fleece and you have a warm and waterproof all purpose winter coat."
