hi, my boy has a white chest and white legs, or they used to be white now they are a dirty brown that wont clean even after a good wash, iv seen a shampoo at pets at home that turns the white back to white, has anyone used anything like this? and is it safe for the dog?

No I have not used it, usually just rinse Rocky in warm water nothing else needed really. Just need to be careful not to strip the skin of it's natural oils and dry out the skin.

Have a look through the thread below, where this has been discussed before:

I'm a dog groomer and I use a blue one from Groomers Online. Anything with blue tint will bring out the white Smile

This is the one I use - very mild with oatmeal (soothing). Brings Dempsey's white bits up very well. Expensive, but you only need a very small amount. I disolve a small amount in warm water & then pour that over a wet Dempsey & rub it in. Good lather & good cleaning, but doesn't dry his skin out.

Haha AND it gets diluted too! Even washing 5 dogs a day it still lasts me a good few months!

thanks for the replys, iv ordered some blue velvet shampoo so hopefully that will help, he is dirty because he licks his paws and they get discloured and then it goes onto his chest, what would be the best way to get him to stop licking his paws? i was thinking about diluting some vinegar and spraying it on his paws to get him out the habbit? he does this on his bed and it makes his sheets stink, he tries this on our bed aswell Laughing

thanks

Licking his paws and discolouring them isn't normal, it's generally when they are irritated and the yeast turns them brown
