Shampoo
Hi all
Just a quick question, our pup, who is a blue, has dandruff, not really bad, but enough to make us a little concerned. Can anyone recommend a good shampoo to use please?
Thanks

Re: Shampoo
I won't use anything other than Etiderm shampoo on my dogs (both blue)
It's a nice shampoo and excellent for all skin issues... Pricey at about £12 a bottle but a little goes a long way, gives them a gorgeous shiny coat too which mine are always complemented on x

Re: Shampoo
How much are you bathing? Too much is harmful and can cause dry skin too, Lexi always gets dry skin when i bathe her

Re: Shampoo
(talking from a Malamute perspective as my staffy will arrive in two weeks time),
I use normal baby shampoos that have pH 5.5.
Also, sometimes a good brushing gets rid of the dirt of the coat. I also use baby wipes to clean the coat from dirt.
I wash my Mal two times a year with shampoo (he usually goes to doggie groomer) and I was him with water every time he wants for a swim in the sea (as salt is bed for the skin).

Re: Shampoo
I feed my Mal with Purina dog food. Nothing fancy and expensive.
However, we tend to give him bowl of rice or pasta, raw eggs and spoon of olive oil.
He also ate (when he was younger) fresh meat - (I don't feed him meat anymore as he is prone to digestive problems now... he is 13 yrs old).
He has never had any skin problem (well, he did, he is allergic to milk based products as yoghurt or cheese!).

Sorry, the question was meant for the OP

Hmm, not a bad food then...Maybe try adding some salmon oil to her diet like the one by Fish4Dogs and see if that helps.
Shampoo wise, I think oatmeal is moisturising

Is it green tripe, and do you cook it? If so, don't! It still smells a bit, but not nearly as much!

Re: Shampoo
Tilly has had 1 bath since we got her and she is almost 23months now , she doesn't stink and has, dare I say it, a beautiful coat , little bit thin here and there underside but I'm told this is very common and varies from dog to dogEqui wrote:How much are you bathing?
