My friend has a 10 year old Staffy and someone has told him because his dogs eyes are going misty it means he is going to pass anyone know of this is true or not

Dosent sound right to me .., more like cataract or retina prob I woulda thought ? Vet should be able to tell.

He could be developing catheracts which is common with old dogs, a vet will tell him if that is the case.

Does his eyes look like Jethro's? If they do the chances of them being cateracts is very high, with Jethro it is on the cornea and not on the lens which cateracts are.

My old girls eyes are smokey and have been for a while, It can be a sign of old age.
He may not lose his sight completely it just wont be as sharp as it once was. And its certainly not the early signs thats his about to kick the bucket Smile

Tell your friend to get his dog checked by a vet, thats the only way to find out for sure. Hope they can it sorted out OK.

Some people say the most ridiculous things!! That sounds like cateracts to me though tell him to get to the vets, which he should have really done when he first noticed this.

Just sounds like old age to me. I would have the vet check them though just to be safe.
