Pain in foot, sprains?
I noticed yesterday that Lola yelped as I moved her (she was on my leg, which was going to sleep) and after giving her a quick check over I've found the pain is in her front paw. It doesn't appear to be a break, as she's running around happy enough, and I can gently press each of her toes and it doesn't bother her. The pain seems to be applying pressure from either side of her paw. There's no swelling, or odd lumps or bumps, and she's still active with no limping
I'm guessing dogs can get sprains just like us? I'm going to keep an eye on her, and if there's no improvement over the next couple of days I'll take her to the vets, unless anyone has any pointers?

Re: Pain in foot, sprains?
Try to keep the exercise to a minimum if you can for a few days. Just short walks on the lead and on the grass if possible. Try to keep her off hard surfaces like pavements and concrete. If no improvement in a few days a trip to the vet may be in order. Hope all goes well.

Have you checked between her toes, sometimes they get bruised or cut.

Re: Pain in foot, sprains?
Could be a scratch in between her toes or yes, they can get sprains & strains.
Keep her on light exercise for a couple of days & maybe bathe the paw in salt water just in case there's an abrasion.

Not much more advice to add. I hope she is back to her old self soon.
