Male staffy name ideas!

Helloo! I've got a little stray male staffy possibly coming to live with me and Biscuit on foster for a little while and he hasn't got a name!!

He's very timid and shy, and spends the majority of his time lying on his back when he's around people at the moment bless him. So I want something to suit his personality! I love old man names for staffy's! So far we've got Todd, Felix and Herbert!

Any more ideas?! Never been so stuck for a dog name before, the kennel staff have been calling him Pugwash haha!

Does he look like a henry, alfie or bertie?

Our buster gets called boo a lot as he is nervous
We also had a Charlie a Ben and a clooney
Some of our pups names Harvey, elvis, beano, Harry, Sam, gizmo (all gsds though)

Douglas or Arnold

Charles
Herbert
Winston
Winsalot

Have a look through the list below there are quite a few to choose from. I would have to go with the name Rocky though, excellent name that:

Charlie is by far the best name of course but there are some good ones in the link posted by Kathy.

All the male staffs I know,,,, bullseye (mine) .... Scooby, stitch, blade, Riley, Minstrel. Alfie Ozzy

Tommy ??? or Bertie

Oh dear!! I love them all and now I have even more to choose from oops! I love the name Alfie but we've had so many of them pass through the dogs home I was going to go from something a little more unusual this time! Douglas and Bertie are amazing names too haha! Oh no!

I will let you all know what I decide and post some pictures when he gets here he's beautiful!

I said Bertie because our kids started calling Tilly , Tilbert and it got changed from there so Bertie is their pet name for Tilly

The meaning of the latin word Fidelis is 'Faithful; loyal; reliable' this sounds quite appropriate for a Staffy and unique.

I like the names Tommy, Harley, Zeus, Nico, Rico and Mario.

Personally I think you should go for a long name that you can shorten , just so that when he misbehaves, which lets face it people is guaranteed, you can use his Sunday name to tell him off

Ahhh you lot are a load of geniuses haha! So many awesome names! I loved the name Percy until i got locked in a kennel with a savage dog named Percy it's a little tainted since then!

From what you said at the start Bertie the Belly Barer sounds quite apt! Pic's definitely needed (even if you have already named him by then!)

Our boy is buster but we couldn't have chosen Gary as my oh is Gary and so is my son lol
