help/advice needed please

hey guys i feed my 5month old staffy this morning like usual then after feeding him i went inside to clean up the house then i heard him cry/scream so i ran outside to check, he was on the floor looking at his left back leg, but then i looked around for any dangerous hazards there was nothing that could of hurt him and i also checked his paws it seem fine the only thing i could think of is pulling a muscle. i booked him in to see a vet today but the next avalible time is in 5 hours just wonder if there any advice just for now thanks and he is also walking with his left back leg up and limping aswell

Sorry to hear that. If the area isn't swollen and isn't obviously injured just try to keep him quiet until you take him to the vet.

I'm inclined to think its more than just a pulled muscle, as a pulled muscle would'nt make a pup scream out like that.

Your from Oz and your creepy crawlies are different from ours in the UK so i'm wondering was he stung or bitten by one of them

It could be a Wasp sting?

Hope he's ok , please keep us updated , puppies are good at injuries sometimes, my Tilly picked up a back leg injury as a pup (though no screaming ) ended up with some anti inflammatories after 2 vet trips when they couldn't find anything wrong and we had spent nearly 300 pounds , just to start amazingly walking ok again , with the odd sympathy limp when we were looking her way, but always better safe than sorry
