advice needed

hi all is it true what i have read about staffys needing coats for when it rains or is cold, if so i am really worrying about walking roo because she did,nt come with one, and i also don,t get paid until early december, when i walk her in the rain and i get home i do dry her off, but just a bit worried at the mo with the bad weather we are having

Nothing to worry about at all Roo, coats are a matter of choice, unless that is if your staffy seems cold when out!! Some people have them (I do) and others don't bother, up to you really

Staffies dont cope well with weather that is too hot or too cold. Because they have short hair, and most are made of muscle rather than fat (insulation) they feel the cold and heat more than some breeds.

unless your dog is a young puppy under 12 months old or very old 8+ you dont need a coat in our climate so i would not worry about it a great deal

I use a coat, but only when the weather gets really cold, or when it's p*****g down with rain & I don't want him getting too wet (ie going to work).

At your girl's age she shouldn't really need one, but if you want to get one then that's entirely up to you.

Oh, and Dempsey has a hoody which he wears at work when it's really cold cause the heating in my office is atrocious!

Kuma seems to not want to go home when it rains... She finds the biggest puddles in jumps in them and flips on her nack getting the shiny coat boggin! Am thinking of ohe incase it snows again ...lol x

Kaiser has always been fine when on walks it is if he is put in the garden and forgotton about which my brother tends to do but he is generally alright

Ok.. a gave in she gets away with murder a swear !! started putting her in her place but when the baby's here she needs to no shes not the only baby in the family now

personally i never put a coat on Katie while im out walking. shes tough out shes to macho for a coat if i put one her i reckon she would have it off by the time i got to the front door

probs will.. she already wants up to lie with her head on the mrs bump like she no's theres something going on lol

Awww my 2 have coats for when its cold as they come with me when im with the horses,and sometimes were there a while.My excuse is there getting on a bit now so need to keep warm they still look matcho with there coats on

I personally dont like dogs in clothes but its all personal choice! As wazza says in this country there isnt really any need for coats unless the dog is old very young or has a medical condition.....

If were going for a walk and its freezing,cairo has a coat,because she shivers if she doesnt wear one.But if were going to the field over the road for a run,she doesnt have one because she works up a sweat fast down there lol
