How They Grow!
Took chase to the vets the other day for a general check up...
Stuck him on the scales and his put on half a stone since last visit!
His six months now, nearly seven, Weighing in at 18 kilos...
Just wondering how his weight compares to any of your staffs...
Anyone know how much theirs weighed at that age?
Also, at what age do staffy heads start to fill out?
Ive noticed Chase putting on alot of weight around the chest lately, but his head doesnt seem to be growing as fast lol

Re: How They Grow!
Haha funny u should say about the head thing mu Kaos is exactly the same at the mo.....he's 7 months and is sarting to fill out around the chest which is making his head look tiny!!
Staffs normally grow up for a year then out for a year. My Ty is 16 months and his heads noticably bigger now compared to a few months ago.
Re the weight thing kaos was weighed thursday as he was netured and he was 21.4 kg. x

All staffords mature at different rates. As Blaze said its usually around a year, but sometimes how long is a piece of string. Mine always filled out first and the head came later, although mine still has a very small head and I don't think now (she is nearly 2) it will get any bigger.

Re: How They Grow!
I dont usually notice his rate of growth as i see him everyday, but over the last week or so ive really noticed him filling out, his chest has got huge, but his head doesnt seem to be growing as fast lol
I met a woman over the park today with a 6 month old staffy, she said the same thing, he was filling out but his head wasnt in proportion with his body. Her boy was a real barrel shape though, similar to my uncles, completely different to chase, chase has more of an athletic build, a huge chest with a small bum. Its funny how much variety there is within the breed.
