Do they all grow like this??

Marley is 6 months on the 19th and after weighing him today weighs a lovely 14.5 kg's, his body is getting huge and getting great muscle on him but his head is still so little there isnt much gap between his ears....his head is going to grow isnt it??????

yes his head will grow and yes they all grow like that

They tend to grow upwards for the first year & then outwards for the next 18 months - 2 years. However, the head will only be as big as his genes dictate, although it will certainly get bigger to catch up with his body - do you know what his parents looked like?

Yep about 9 months Rolo started to look more in proportion... He's on a widening out phase again at the moment

I met mummy and uncle who were both big headed staffies, guess im more worried il end up with an odd shaped dog

He looks spot on to me. He is still very young. Logan is 13 months and only starting to fill out now.

I must add the sitting down to eat pic is fantastic! He is so polite haha.

He's looks ideal for age, 6mths is teeny - they all go thru a crazy wierd stage ! My boy who is 10mths started to look rely awesome from 8mths. He's 10mths now and developing well, very lean but very defined n muscular, nice head muscle development etc, don't fret xx

He has done the sitting down to eat since the day we got him its so cute he even does it to drink

I love the shot of him sitting down eating. With regards to proportions I'm sure he will be fine once fully grown.

Very normal and they all grow at different rates. We thought Suki would be undersized but not anymore

I havnt measured him yet but i will in an hour for you lol

very normal, harvs head started to grow properly at about a year old BUT he has a smallish head compared to alot of staffs his age, neither his mum or dad had small heads but when i compare to dogs like Andy's Max who is only a little older his head is massive compared to harv. But harv's head is still in proportion though

It is all down to their genes

It is strange until I had owned Molly I wouldn't have know how staff's grew! Molly is 9 months and her head has started filling out a little. Initlally her head was tiny in comparison to her body growth!

on the last pic when he was front facing, he looks like tyke did all ears body and a pee head as i called! but as you can see from my pics he soon caught up

Thanks everyone, i can slowly see the gap between the ears growing bigger just a little lol, well Marley is now 6 and a half months and weighs about 15kilos so im happy with that and his such a loving boy wouldnt swap him for the world x

Thats so cute how he easts sitting down! Aww bless. and yes he will grow. To be honest he looks in good proportion, his head will get bigger last its really the muscles just building up so maybe give him some things to chomp on. Stag bars and such!
