Lump behind front teeth?
Hello all,
Ive recently discovered a pea sized lump behind Brocs top teeth in the roof of his mouth, aswell as this the surrounding skin is very soft and saggy, ive took him to a vet to see what the issue was but the vet told me that the lump is normal. I informed him that it has only occured and that the skin on the roof of his mouth was soft and saggy but again he told me it was normal, I tend to have a poke about his mouth quite often to keep an eye out for issues and know that its new, can anyone else confirm that this is a normal thing in a Staffys mouth?

sorry I can't comment but I assume you have been happy with your vet up to now and have no reason to doubt his word ??

I don't think lumps are normal. It could be something stuck in his mouth or a tooth. id get a second opinion.

Re: Lump behind front teeth?
You know your dog, and any difference that you're not happy with needs investigating.
Lumps that suddenly appear (unless it's from a knock or something that you know about) should always be taken seriously. I wouldn't have thought that a soft upper palate was normal. My (non-expert!) guess would be maybe an abcess?
If there's another vet in your area, a second opinion might be in order.
