it just seems like one problem after another!

I think sky hasnt eaten something bad..she has been sick since 11 pm and its now 1.25 am..im hoping someone is awake to reassue me!

She has been fine all day..fed usual food at usual time..but me and my partner had pizzas and i think she may of got hold of something she shouldnt.

the sick started off as proper vomit and now it is foamy/ saliva and just nasty.
she has had diarahea once. I am unsure of what to do.
he last 'sickness' was about 1 minute ago..it seems like its not stopping.

even small bits of water are good make sure she keeps taken it
cant think there would be anything in a pizza that would give that kind of reaction so i think you can rule that out.
looks like you may have a sleepless night making sure she keeps drinking water but it will be for the best
i take it she had no jabs yet
best i can serjest is keep eye on her and get to the vets first thing in the morning as the shaking dont sound good in such a young pup

the vet has said give her white fish. The only white fish i have is frozen cod fillets which you oven cook. Are these suitable if boiled? Last thing i want to do is upset her belly even more

What insurance cover do you have & when did you get it? As long as you've had the insurance for more than 14 days you should be covered, especially as the emergency vet told you to bring her in. You'll need to get them to sign the claim form, though.

How is she now?

she is asleep on the sofa..she has been crying alot, looking very sad. She has eaten a small handfull of dry food which was mixed with rice.
Where is my nipping, chewing, fiesty pup gone!
Im sure after lots of sleep and cuddles she will be fine alone with taking her tablets.

Sounds like she may have gastroenteritis.
If it is this which i'm pretty sure is make sure shes drinking fluids, even if that means syringing some into the side of her mouth slowly.

To check if a pup or an adult dog is dehydrated gently pull up on the skin at the back of your dog’s neck. If the skin does not immediately spring back to its normal position (within 1 or 2 seconds), your dog/pup is dehydrated and needs immediate attention. The longer it takes for the skin to return to its normal position, the more severe the dehydration.

Note thou in an older dog the skin loses some of its natural elasticity so this is not a reliable home test for them.

i tried this test and it doesnt seem too bad.it goes back to its normal position in around 2 maybe 3 seconds. I have just hand poured some water into her mouth though as she has hardly drank anything today and eaten nothing. Im not too worried as the vets said ' when can we go' not ' we need to see her asap' so im just waiting till 5 now to see what they say!

They still havnt said what is wrong. They touched her gums and lifted her neck like denise said and she was very dehydrated. Her temp was really high so they are putting her on a drip and anti biotics SadSad
They want her in for 24 hours..roll on tomorrow!

It's amazing how quickly they respond to a drip. When Dempsey had Giardia, he was near collapsed when we got him to the emergency vet & he was bleeding from his rear end. By the following morning, after being on a drip for about 6 hours, he was walking about (although he was pretty groggy) and just looked a bit sorry for himself!
