Weird behaviour - 2 staffordshires 2different area, different ages
During the last few months our 8 year old female started acting weird. She will start panting, following me, not settling down, climbing onto my head in the middle if the night. Or she will hide under the bed walking up and down. Last 2 times she went outside will go and sit in one spot and stare at the wall- we can call her she won't come.
The vet has checked her out nothing wrong physically. She is on avet approved diet. I spoke to a fellow Staffordshire owner that stays 50km Way her 3year old female started actig likes this in last 6weeks.
There behaviour is not weird on same time, day ....
Any suggestions, ideas...I'm desperate

Hi and welcome to the forum from Rocky and me.
Where abouts in the world are you?
It seem to be very strange that it's your dog and your friends both acting the same. I dont really know what to suggest, do you have any wild animals in your area ???? Maybe yours dogs can sense their presence ???

Hi Kathy + Rocky - we are from Cape Town, South Africa. Rogue is the youngest of my 2 staff - Havoc is 9. We live in an area with no wild animals - mostly houses (suburbs). My friend stays towards the beach also no wild animals. It is driving us all insane snce this is not normal behaviour and vet can't find anything wrong.

Hi Ilze195. Could it be baboons? They could be moving through the suburbs at night. Another thought... changes in atmospheric pressure? Perhaps they both sensitive to it. (or maybe Juju has moved to Cape Town )

It was full moon @Lynne so maybe that can be a good point. But like last night she was lying on the bed sleeping and all of the sudden she was jumping up and sitting on my head. Five minutues later madam was calm and snoring away.. ha ha on the Juju suggestions.. I'm running out of ideas... We are taking her for long walks as well.
