Season
Just wondering, When I first got Roxy, the breeder told me they have season around about every 6 months, is this correct?.
I mean she's had a season a few times since I've had her, but she's only had one throughout 2010.

Re: Season
How old is she now?
The first season is normally around 6 months old, and will be every 6 months after. But that's just the norm! The 1st season can be anything from 4 - 12 months old, and subsequent ones can be anything from every 4 months to every 9 months!
If you feel she should have had a season & she hasn't, it might be an idea to just let the vet know - he might give her a health check just to rule out anything going on that shouldn't be!

She was 2 in May. So in fact thats probably right then if its every 6-9 months.
I'll take her to the vet's anyway to be sure.
Thanks anyway

Re: Season
A bitch's seasons can take a little while to 'settle' into a proper routine, but it's quite normal for it to be 9 months apart. When was her last one?

Re: Season
Yes, so it sounds like she might be on a 9 month cycle. If you're worried, though, let the vet check her over.
