Still in season!!
Not that I mind but Mia is still in season!! It's been four weeks today that we very first noticed, you could argue that the first week of it didn't really count because there was no real discharge but I honestly thought it would be finished by now!!
Is she ok or is this signs of a problem?
Everything is fine with her, and she is beginning to look not as swelled up but there is still reddish discharge and everywher you look online claims the season only lasts 3 weeks?

Re: Still in season!!
I think the most common amount of time is 3wkws which is why your only finding sites that say 3 weeks .. Some dogs bleed four and the odd few have bles a few days longer a tutor i had at college was an ex vet and saw a dog that bled 5wks every 3months!! Some dogs do, dont neccesarily mean somethings wrong sometimes its just the dog but i your worried ask the vet to put your mind at ease :

Re: Still in season!!
The discharge should have changed from red to a sort of straw coloured discharge which occasionally has a little blood in it. If it's still red, I'd have a quick word with the vet to make sure there's no infection.
The length of time wouldn't worry me overmuch, just the colour of the discharge.
