Worming tablet day
Well today was worming tablet day.Not a great day as cairo is notorious at hunting out tablets no matter what i wrap them in.I have milbemax tablets wich are chewable and apprently tasty according to her vet.Not in Cairos eyes. She spat one out the first time i tried her with it lol So i have to crumble said tasty tablet into her dinner.Well i gave her some boiled potato, chicken and carotts for dinner today and mixed in the crumbled tablet. She instantly stuck her toungue in it then stopped and sniffed it for ages.I thought she had sussed what i had done, but she started eating it thankfully. A few bites in and she was pigging it down as usual lol

Re: Worming tablet day
Its a real pain.I have to crumble tablets into a fine powder then mix it with wet foods otherwise she notices straightaway and then she wont eat anything. You only get one chance to hide tablets with her, after that she is too suspicious and wont touch anything.

Rocky takes his quite well usually, we use Drontal plus which are suppoed to be palatable we just mix them in with his dinner or a small piece of cheese, they soon go then.

Re: Worming tablet day
Thats good she ate it. Bella will eat anything so it's not a problem with her but Millie is a nightmare. I use cheeseballs to hide them in. Even it takes a few tries as she manages to eat the cheeseball and spit out the tablet.

sox gets hers wrapped in a slice off ham,she swallows the whole slice and my fingers.TBH in think thats why thier farts smell they just wolf the food down with chewing it ,its prob just rotting away and festering in their guts till they pass it out the other end

Peanut butter or pate are good for disguising tablets as well.
