Not Feeling So Hot - Update
Scroll down for update.
The little monkey had his yearly check up yesterday and got his vaccines. He got his rabies shot, his DA2PP and a bordetella nasal spray (we are boarding him in June). Poor little man has been hacking and coughing all day. The vet said that it's normal to have such a reaction. Doesn't make it any less sad, though. Poor little guy looks so small when he doesn't feel well.

Get well soon Saxon! I hate that. Think I'll have to do the same as my brood might be boarding for a weekend in June... not looking forward to the nasal spray.

Re: Not Feeling So Hot - Update
Thanks, all. Poor little man just keeps trying to climb in my lap. Boys are so pathetic when they don't feel well. It's a beautiful day here, so I think we may go to the park and lay in the sun. He hacks a little less when we are outside.

Re: Not Feeling So Hot - Update
I think he's feeling better, he isn't coughing as much and he hasn't thrown up since yesterday morning. At the moment he's just sitting next to me on the couch staring at me:

Re: Not Feeling So Hot - Update
So Saxon is doing a lot better. He isn't coughing anymore, though he isn't yet back to his crazy self. I called the vet today anyway just to let her know that he was still having symptoms. She called the company that produces the vaccine and they asked her to take swabs of Saxon's nose. They want to test it to find out what is causing his symptoms so they know if it was their vaccine or if Saxon coincidentally got a respiratory illness for the first time in his life just after getting the kennel cough vaccine. It was free, though, so I can't really complain. Saxon wasn't too pleased about it, though. He used to love the vets, but I'm not sure he's going to any more after all of this!
He is doing much better now than he was. Thanks for all of the concern!
