What cars have you owned ?
I'm a bit of a later driver. I'm 31 soon, have only been driving for around 6-ish years I think ?
My first car was a car I always wanted as my first car. It was a Citroen Saxo 1.4 Westcoast, had the bodykit of a VTS. Was quite a nippy little car and managed to get 111mph out of it on the M4. Had it for nearly to years I think.
The Saxo got written off as someone came into the side of me and bent the Chassis, so ended up with my 2nd Car, a Renault Clio 1.4 which I hated with a passion. It was an OK car, few things went wrong with it, but later put that down to it being FRENCH lol Never liked it, ugly looking car, wasn't fast enough but think I got 105 out of it.
After seeing in a new Toyota Celica Mag some years ago, a Silver Celica, I always wanted one. So all I kept seeing on the roads was Celica's here there and everywhere, in the color I wanted. I fell in love. Around the time of the 6 nations rugby in 2007 (I think), myself and my ex always put on a bet for first try scorer, and we always won, all my winnings went into a sealed pot to save for a Celica. Spotted one in the local garage one day, looked at the car, it was the color and model I wanted and I fell in love with it. Sod the saving for a car, I ripped open my savings and had saved enough for the deposit, so part x'd the crappy Clio and snapped up the Celica (at that point my whole life changed with the celica parked outside the house ), my dream car (at the time) ! Amazing car, built to ride and ride, for miles and miles, so robust it was unbelievable. Someone smashed into the side of me some 2 years after having the car and almost wrote it off causing 3.5k's worth of damage (b@stard !), a little bit of love was lost with the car because of it ... but it was some car none the less. Got 100mph out of that, was too scared to go over because it was my baby ! lol
Mileage clocked up on the Celica and due to me on the motorway all the time it was time to get a diesal. Wanted an A3 but couldn't find the one I wanted, so being inpatient me, I decided on a Golf instead. Great car, lovely turbo in it, have got 114mph out of that and it felt good ! Only had it since September and now I want to change my car again, something with more bhp ! But this is only because I experienced driving a Boxster S just after christmas which is what, 300+ bhp ? I love fast cars !
My next car I would like an A1 Turbo ... but my mind changes like the weather !
Any other petrol heads on here ?

My first car, my parents bought of friends for $100 was a toyota corolla wagon, a real trooper of a car, but I cracked the head due to my complete lack of knowledge about car care... a 6 our drive with out checking the coolant or oil doesnt go well...
thats the only car I've had other than my civic

1. Peugeot estate, massive big banger that I learnt to drive in

3. Volvo 480
4. Celica 2.00 gt
5. Saab 900 2.00l Turbo convertable
6. Saab 9000 2.00l turbo

Best cars from the abopve is celica and I loved my Saab 9000
Hated the convertable, had the hood down once and some kids on a bus through pencils on my head, also when it is sunny you get all hot and sunburnt, used to have the hood down with ac on, but then whats the point.

I totally love cars but fail to see the value in driving a really expensive one from a purely practical point of view. For fun is of course another matter. I have a friend in the media specialising in motor (currently contracted to volvo and following the ocean race down New Zealand way) who has access to just about any car you can think of and over the years I have managed to test drive just about anything you can think of.
Cars I have owned:
1. Alfa Romeo 2L Berlina
2. Ford Capri
3. Alfa Sud
4. Alfa Romeo Giulietta GTV
5. Ford Escort (After Divorce hehe)
6. Toyota Conquest
7. Fiat Uno
8. Jeep Cherokee (written off)
9. Jeep Cherokee

We've only had two cars (soon to be three over the next few months)
We had a Vauxhall Astra in the UK (looked hilarious because my husband is very tall and his knees were practically under his chin)
Now we have a Holden Commodore SV6 (Holden and Vauxhall are basically the same thing)

I've been driving for 25 years - My first car was a mini clubman 1100 saloon -
I've had lots and lots of cars since (inc. Nissan, Peugeot 205, XR3i, Metro Turbo, standard escorts, VW golf, mini's, mazda, Astra, BMW ) and currently have an automatic 206 Peugeot , I used to love fast cars - rally is my favourite - and I would love an old style Mini Cooper
