Terrible Teens
My partner has gone away with work for the next few weeks, so it has just been me & Heston at home I have carried on as normal in to walks/training/work HOWEVER he has been such an Evil puppy >
Since Sunday he has had 2 baths (due to poo rolling incidents); been caught standing on the kitchen table after I have left him to nap; has been opening & thieving from the dirty laundry basket; has been caught stooping to wee on the sofa; has licked a toad; has stolen from the pet store (I had to by what he stole because he chewed it); has been chasing my feet everywhere; and finally ripped 2 toilet rolls to shreds breaking the toilet roll holder; and has also decided to start taking himself on walks around grounds of the property we live on looking for other people......I am exhausted!!!
After finally finishing off the toy canadian duck toy he stole he is now sat right in front of the TV literally watching a bear documentary on BBC2 and I am ready for bed already!!!

Re: Terrible Teens
I know what you're going through! Hopefully we're just coming out the other side of the teen phase! Vlad is a naughty boy (some would just say cheeky) and he had ended up on the dining table, chased the cat under our bed, jumped from the lounge up to the kitchen bench (open plan living, not so ideal with a misbehaving puppy! Fills his mouth with our cats toys and runs around with them so we have to chase him, digs holes in the back yard (he has slowed down with this one) Has eaten through 9 beds so now I follow the advice from people on here... op shop (charity shop) all the way for his bedding! But, he is so loveable! He loves his cuddles of a morning and evening... but now, of a night, he comes inside, by passes me and heads straight for his crate!!! I am sure Heston will be fine... the teen phase passes (I hope, I really hope)

Re: Terrible Teens
Rocky has also been watching the bear program tonight then decided to start shouting at the TV so had to turn it off.
He is now 2 years old we thought he had past the puppy stage, obviously he has other ideas

Re: Terrible Teens
i think thats one of the things i love about the breed, although sasha is 8 this year and most of the time is a sensible girl to watch when she is in play mode you would think she was a pup still

Re: Terrible Teens
He loved that bear program but wasn't the slightest bit interested in Crufts. Heston is now fast asleep on the sofa softly snoring....and passing wind
He really hasn't helped himself this week- He has been having irregular bouts of wind, the runs & a very noisy tummy. Despite being on white fish JWB and only fresh grilled chicken as training treats it still continues. He eats from an anti-gobble bowl and watch how much he drinks, however he still belches like a pro after every meal. All this hard work to help him, just so he can go and eat poo & lick toads!!!

Re: Terrible Teens
Yep and i'm sure he won't be doing it again, he was snorting/sneezing/face rubbing for an hour after and i ended up giving him a dollop of yoghurt to help
Despite all of this he graduated KC Puppy Foundation last night and I did feel a small proudness even if I did find he has eaten all his treats out my coat pocket when I stopped to get petrol on the way
I might just not get up tomorrow and see if he has miraculously learnt how to make a cup of tea, seeing as he magically seems to have learnt so many other tricks without training....I wonder how long ill have to wait!

Re: Terrible Teens
Sorry but , he sounds like a very lively boy. Alis current obsession is eating cotton buds. I don't even know where he's getting them from at this stage because I put them out of his sight wen i found him eating them. Think he has a secret stash somewhere

I'm not going to laugh, I'm not going to laugh, I'm not going to laugh..............
Yes I am!
Sorry!
Hmmm. That depends. At what age does a man stop being a teenager?
Seriously, anything from about 12 months right through to 3 years old! My Dempsey has calmed down drastically over the last 6 months - he's nearly 3 now.

Re: Terrible Teens
Sorry but this has me in stitches. Tyson is 18 months and he IS getting better ....slowly. I was sort of banking on 2 being the magic number but after Caryll's post I not sure if I can last till 3!
