Staffy no lead
just been out and there was a woman walking her staffy and it was off lead. it was a s good as gold very friendly and when it sniffed my 2 on my trouser leg its tail wagged more and it jumped up. I stould for ages petting it and it still wouldnt go. The woman said it stays for ages with anyone that shows it attention cos people usualy walk as fast as they can. I explained I have 2 at home and she mentioned a play date but its a shame that I dont think Lemmy would go for it some how and Lottie would be terrified. It was a lovely dog though so good and friendly

Lexi is a sucker for attention, shell go right on her back and wiggle like a little tortoise.

I wish we had more like her around. There are not many Staffy owners at my local park, sadly.

Re: Staffy no lead
Julie, you may find it will all be fine. The only way to find out is to try without any preconceived ideas of how such a meeting will go. Sometimes we just have to trust them a little.

Re: Staffy no lead
I very rarely meet other staffy owners. Theres a family i've seen a few times with a 'staffy' I really want to tell them that what they own is not a staffy but a mixed bull breed-the dog is about 25 inches tall! Even the tallest tall staffy wouldn't reach that >.<
Romeo is off lead on our morning walk but he ignores everyone.

Re: Staffy no lead
I'm so jealous of people that walk their staffys next to them with no lead and their dogs are so good! I can get jasper to heal but I wouldn't trust taking him into the high street or anyWhere built up as soon as he sees someone eating food or whatever he'll be off! Lol we have a few staffy owners round here which is nice they all get on so well on the morning walks which is nice it's nice to chat to people about the breed instead of reassuring them! Lol

know what you mean about the no lead walks. i am jealous too cos those dogs are so well behaved. my lemmy isnt a bad boy but he got out of the gate once and pete chased him down the street the little sod wouldnt listen when he shouted him. he saw freedom and went for it. pete finaly caught him when the little sod nipped into the chip shop for supper

Re: Staffy no lead
Quoting Jade, about the Staffy being 25" tall at least. Can I ask how tall Staffys can grow to? Cos Pixee is at least 20" tall, she is a long legged Staffy, and pure Staffy too. When we brought her home in Jan from the blue cross, she has since shot up in height, but now stopped, and is starting to fill out now, as in grown out side ways lol.
