foot prints
Ok, strange thoughts, but I need to get a copy of Daisy foot prints, I was told that ink and stamping them would be the best. I am going to get them tattooed, and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what to use for in3k . thanks

Re: foot prints
I wouldn't suggest ink but more something like child friendly no chemical water paint so it'll be easy to wash off her paws as well, cute idea by the way I'm planning on getting my lots portraits done

Re: foot prints
i have done the same for my two for the same reason lol .. i used childrens paint (none toxic) and made sure it was washed of properly afterwards worked like a charm

Re: foot prints
If you're getting a tattoo, the bigger the better. Bigger tattoos age a lot better. Smaller tattoos have more chance of blurring and fading and are harder to touch up.just want them little, I undecided about where to put them tho, I know its only gonna cost $60-$80, to get a pair....im excited.
The only thing I regret about some of my tattoos is that they're not bigger.

Re: foot prints
well, im just gonna get basically the out line at this point in time, unless cliff ( my tattoo dude) suggest otherwise. I'm thinkin on my shoulder. I'm trying to decide if i should put something like precious girl Daisy, or something with them. I just can't decide what would sound good.

Re: foot prints
Why don't you get an actual daisy to represent Daisy?
You could have the prints either side of the daisy, like pressed into the ground with a large daisy springing from it (or several small ones) and then a banner across the top with the motto of your choice, or a rainbow or something.

Re: foot prints
Sounds awesome, make sure you put the pics up when you get it done I am thinking of getting a Ledger tattoo not sure I can afford a portrait so I've been edging towards a Staffordshire Knot and his name in some italic font along the side of my foot

Re: foot prints
it would kinda neat to see it go through the knot also. like start at one of the loops and go through to the other side.

Re: foot prints
I have 3 tats so far and they all symbolise something that is a major part of my life, something that make me 'me'
They are all in places (right calf and top of both arms) where I can see them and that they are only on show if I want them to be. I used to have a number of piercings (since removed due to job changes) and I guess back then it was a bit of a progression to having my first tattoo (about 8-9 years ago) then there is a certain addiction once you have one

Re: foot prints
Julie, I am trying to word this as nicely as possible, as best I can without getting into a whole bunch of details, about personal stuff that most people don't wanna hear about.
My reasoning for wanting this tattoo, is because I have been through so much abuse, physically, mentally, and emotionally. I suffer from so many differnt mental illnesses, and I have so many other issues. I was at a low trying to work through everything, and build up feelings again, i did what i could to get daisy, and i couldnt afford her on my own, my oh helped me. and ever since then things have changed.....

i think it's a great idea, if she's changed your life for the better then why not have a permanent reminder of her and how she helped you through the bad times

Omg I was thinking of doing the same!! Wanted two little paw prints of Mia's but had the same concerns about ink and small tattoos generally not looking great after a few years!!

Re: foot prints
i have tattoos all down my back. it all depends on where you place them depends on how they fade or not, the more sun they get the faster they fade and such as well as how deep in the skin you are tattooed. I have a tattoo of a reindeer skull that the antlers reach up into cherry blossums and then two pistols pointed down that have black oozing down my spine. I have the southern cross up the top between the antlers and the word Ikuisesti (forever in finnish) (everythings in black bar the blossums) I want to get a tattoo for Romeo, but i dont know if i should get a portrait, paws, his name and date of birth, or a cartoon of him. and i have no idea where to put it since it will clash with my back tatt.
Re: foot prints
I have several tattoos and plan to get more. (Hopefully a full sleeve eventually) But I don't think I could bare to tattoo Romeo on me, knowing that one day i'll see him pass away as dogs don't live as long as people.
The thought moves me to tears.

Re: foot prints
I know what shakespearesdog means, but i kind of look at it as keeping a pice of him always with me and a little reminder of all the love. i'm actually starting to think of getting it under my left brest closer to my side on my ribs, you know, close to my heart <3
Re: foot prints
Daisy has been my go to for alot of things these past 3 years, I truefully donno what i would do without her, i cry she licks my tears away making it better, she was with us in the hospital dealing with OHs grandmother. and so much more. We got her about a year after our apartment burned down, and we got a place to move into, it was terrifing to be alone.

Re: foot prints
A good idea if you dont like tattoos and want a permenant reminder of your dog is what i did with my dog Sam who i recently lost. I got some modelling clay which drys hard naturally really quick and i got him to stand on it to get his imprint. Looks really good
