post spay exercise
hi,tia had her op yesterday and alls fine and to be honest you wouldn't know she'd been spayed the way she's trying to run and jump about ,what i was wondering is can anyone give me any advice on when she can go for a non steady walk again ie the usual run round the fields after work ,i assume not for ten days when the stitches come out but thought i'd ask, cheers hutty

Good to hear Tia is O.K. after her op, now all you have to do is keep her quiet for a few days.
Sophie was spayed in January, we were told no walk until after her wound check which was 10 days after the op.
But as Sophie is rather excitable on a lead we were advised to wait a few days longer.

Bless her, they are such a pain after there op, do they not realise they have to keep still! Really do try and keep her calm, I know how hard it is but you must try and keep her still. No jumping, no stairs, not on the sofa unless you lift her up.
I was advised to leave it a week after her stitches where out, its the internal stitches to worry about as you can't see them. Imitedly I did take her for short lead walks to start with and then gradully built them up over the next month.
There are conflicting opinions but I would always be more cautious Xx
