Diarrhea
Elwood has had quite bad Diarrhea for the pst couple of days. it`s bright yellow and smells sour and very runny. I have givven him rice and chicken and tried scrambles egg but he still has it. He is fine in himself. going for walks and playing etc. I will take him to the vet tomorrow if it does not clear up, but in the meantime any ideas?

Re: Diarrhea
I would try starving for 24 hours initially and then if it hasn't cleared up the vets, although it has already been 48 hours.
Poor Elwood, let us know how he goes Xx

Re: Diarrhea
I have phoned the kennels and asked them if he had been like this when he was there. They said he had diarrhea for a while but it had cleared up. He had been given Kaolin Gel apparently to line his stomach. Will see what the vet says tomorrow. I need to register him there anyway so they may as well take a look at him at the same time!

Re: Diarrhea
There could be something in his food that's disagreeing with his stomach. It's possible that he's chicken intolerant & that his normal food has chicken as a protein source. That would explain why feeding him chicken hasn't cleared it up.
It could also be that his pancreas isn't functioning properly. If that's the case, a raw diet can often help.
