Diarrhea
Hiya
Don't know whether this is right section or it should go in the health section
Bruno has Diarrhea, he has 3 lots of it today, 3 one was a bit more solid.
He's not eating too much at the moment ie like today he was fed at 6am but didn't really want it, so took it up after 15 minutes, offered again at 10am and he ate the whole lot, fed again at 2.30 but he was really hungry has few monthfuls so again i took it up, fed him at 5.45pm and he ate the whole lot. He's drinking water but not in great lots like he usually does.
Just wondering if he's drinking more than he's eating will this cause his no2's to be runny ?

Re: Diarrhea
He's eating James Wellbeloved.
He's his normal self, running around trying to get the kids feet and playing with his toy and running in and out the house. Trouble is he eats anything that is on the floor ie newspaper mainly and whatever is outside, we try to take anything that he shouldn't have out his mouth before he has chance to eat it, we just moved a computer table as he been biting away at that.
i hoover every day but he still manages to find something on the floor to eat.

Re: Diarrhea
ok cancel that, we're back to diarrhea .
perhaps he's having a reaction to the food as we change the flavor of his food.

Re: Diarrhea
we're feeding the turkey and rice and the guy in the shop said sometime this flavour does play havoc with their tummy's so we're going to get a small bag of lamb and rice tomorrow and see how he goes, because his no2 was alright when i came down but after i fed him it was really runny and watery , apparently i didn't see it

Re: Diarrhea
I wouldn't worry too much Moo suffered Diarea really badly, all over the house overnight, was gross. You could try starving Bruno for 24 hours? Its what the vet told me to do. Then any bug can pass. x

Re: Diarrhea
Try some Arrowroot. Either sprinkle it on his food (about 2 tablespoons) or mix it with some water & a spoonful of brown sugar in a saucepan & bring it to the boil, stirring constantly. As soon as it starts to thicken take it off the heat & allow it to cool. It should be really thick & gloopy, like gel.
It will calm his stomach & help to push through anything that's irritating it without any side effects.

Re: Diarrhea
Apart from the arrowroot (if you try it) I'd give him nothing at all today, not even treats/biscuits. If he looks really hungry, you could try some boiled rice just to fill his tummy a bit, but not too much, as eating too much can give them the runs anyway!

Re: Diarrhea
Dillons poos variate one minute sloppy next logs. He is a nightmare for snaffling stuff off the floor, my partner said the council should pay us! I've pulled tea bag, nanana skins, orange peel out his mouth. other day he managed to get a wine gum, which, was firmly stuck to the floor, he'd been after it for a couple of days. He wouldnt' come back other day, coz he'd found bread put out for birds. Anyone would think he'd never been fed!

Re: Diarrhea
Tell me about it - it was a slimy, rotten banana skin that landed Dempsey in the vets hospital for three days last year!
