More bad press..

It annoys me they use a random picture from the internet..

Holy sh!t !!! thats the worst bit of breed persacution I've seen in a long time

would they dig up a random pic of a Lab or a collie or whatever snarling if it had been one ... would they f ! ... from a report like that it takes the focus away from the dickheads responsible and puts all the hate on the whole breed

sigh once again knobs for owners let the side down.

I think what annoys me most is that at no time have they said what the dog was actually doing! It was probably wagging its tail furiously & trying to lick her to death, but the yobs were saying that it would hurt her!

And of course, they have to put a random pic of a staff snarling.........

What I don't get is who actually said it was a staffie? The dogs and yobs took off before they could be caught so were they actually staffs or is it a case of mistaken identity. However whatever breed it was, this behaviour is ludicrous, and once again the public are given ammunition that staffs are aggressive killers!

Caryll it says the dog was snarling, doesn't say anywehre that it actually attacked her. I think I would be snarling too if I was provoked like that to attack! People just amaze me sometimes!

Strange, isn't it? I read three accounts of this & the Sun was the only one to mention the dog snarling! The others just say that the thugs were telling the dog to 'get her'.

If it was about a chihuahua they would still use that pic! It would go along the lines of "chihuahua are not usually dangerous (this is sooo untrue they are one of the most vicious dogs!!) so are not covered under tha DDA like the staffordshie bull terrier...insert image here"

so true!! but then again a chihuahua attack wouldn't be reported, it would be dismissed because it wasn't a staff attack!

Argh!! only in the sun..it was stupid fictitious story like this that put me off getting a staffy for years!.. when i think of all the other ppl that will also believe it the gospel truth makes me sooo mad.. that pic has been photoshopped of the staffy and picked at random.. any person should know that..i dont think River could look like that if she tried her hardest.. stupid reporter.. and actress for not putting them right...

You could only see this is the sun, ive sent them an email, havnt recieved a reply yet, was well n truly * off from this story.

Uneducated arses printing a story and making the dog out too be the bad one as normal, has too be viscious its a staffy yh f***in right

It's been problem with online articles at this end of the planet too. When an article is posted about a vicious dog attack, sometimes the article picture will be of a staffy when the dog in question isn't a staffy.

Whenever I see this I email the website.

Headline says vicious! poor dog after being held up and waved in the air was probably struggling to get free as somehow I cant see it being cradled

I was trying to find a link but a few weeks ago the same paper ran a positive story about Staffys after a loved family pet was attacked for the second time by another dog (GSD I think it was) it was nice to see the thankfully not badly injured dog with his staffy grin being held by the two children of his home
