Rockys Mysterious Sickness
For the last few weeks Rocky has been bringing up a yellow watery substance occasionally, early in the mornings. We have kept a very close eye on what he has been eating and what he picks up over at the park. We have all heard the storys about stuff being left for dogs including antifreeze and other poisons.
We were about to phone the vets this morning, we were stressed and upset as he was shaking/trembling. We then realised that they are not open until tomorrow. We discussed everything he had for christmas and everything he eats during the day.
It took a while until we remembered that after he was attacked by a German Shepherd dog, about 4 weeks ago, he was given a course of antibiotics. This would have reduced the good bacteria in his tummy thus causing the sickness. This morning we have given him a little natural yoghurt, just a couple of teaspoons, this will put his good bacteria back into balance and we think he appears to be much brighter than he was earlier.
Will continue to keep a close eye on him, we do anyway, and see how he goes. Hopefully we have got it right. Trip to see vet tomorrow anyway to make sure.

Bless him, could well be the antibiotics. Not the same, but Harrison is often on them for chest infections etc, and his nappies after them are awful....yellow slimy poo. So maybe it is the antibiotics and hopefully the yoghurt will help him! Keep an eye on him though, as it has been going on a while. Hope he is better soon!

Hope Rocky feels better soon. The yoghurt sounds like a good move to me.

What a relief, Rocky wasn't sick this morning and he is back to his usuall naughty self. Seems a combination of natural yogurt, honey and a small amount of ginger bit the trick. His tummy is much more settled now and he ate all his dinner like a good boy.
He is up to all his old tricks again, thankfully, and is looking bright eyed and bushy tailed once more.

Re: Rockys Mysterious Sickness
Glad to hear he is doing better! My bulldog used to do that fairly often as he had a really sensitive tummy and digestive system. It shouldn't be problematic unless it is keeping him from eating etc. Mine did it a few times a month.

Great news. Will have to keep those remedies in mind for future reference should we get any illness with madam!
