Antlers
Just found THE Staffie-proof toy - deer antlers. Wonderful, lots of chew in them and they don't disintegrate or flake as much as nylobone.
Got ours from Dougals Den website.
Fantastic, try them.

They do them on amazon.com - have a look to see if they'll ship to Australia...

Re: Antlers
my grandpa gave me an antler that he found once (so maybe we do have them here vanessa?)
I loved it and kept it, it was so special to me haha (my grandpa used to give me alsorts of animal things he found - ostriche eggs, fox tails, turtles shells....)
any way found my dog gnawing on it under my bed when I was about 11 I was so upset!!!

Re: Antlers
There are lots of sellers on etsy, too.. But I'm thinking that at least Australia is crazy suspicious of anything animal in origin entering their country and I'm not sure if we're allowed either. Will have to check it out - wouldn't be any fun if it was returned at the border.

Re: Antlers
Not sure why deer penis is worse than "bully stix"? I kinda agree when it comes to the testicles, though.. Dried or fresh?vanessa wrote:they also sell deer penis and testicles.... I feel ill !!
Re: Antlers
They're a bit far away, I think. But my mom finds deer antlers from time to time so if I keep an eye out I might find some. Not sure if I have the patience, though..lovemystaffies wrote:Maybe Aniemother could get Reindeer antlers more easily - but not at this time of year, they're all busy elsewhere ! Ho Ho
Re: Antlers
I think it is just the thought of my boys chewing on a deers penis or testicles... and then licking my face !!

Re: Antlers
I'm not all that squeamish tbh. If they can eat liver and feet they can eat penis too! So I do get some bully stix from time to time.Caryll wrote:Aniemother wrote:Not sure why deer penis is worse than "bully stix"? I kinda agree when it comes to the testicles, though.. Replying to Aniemother from Dec 10, mine have the whole antlers, but they do vary in size. Happy New Year wishes !

I always give the whole antler. Stays whole far longer!

Re: Antlers
Thanks - I actually ordered one yesterday. The supplier I wanted only had whole ones right now so that's what I got. The reason I asked was that it might have been good with a cut one the first time to make it more interesting. They last really long if they're not chewed, but then it doesn't do me much good.Caryll wrote:Aniemother wrote:Do you prefer the whole antlers or the ones that are cut in half to expose the marrow?
