Maybe eaten some poop! Empty Maybe eaten some poop!

Post by yorkshire_Paul Mon Oct 31 2011, 11:32

Ok so yesterday milo was sick and in it looked like a few not small but not huge bits of poo, he was sick a further 3 times later on, he is on tablets cos he had a rash so maybe it was those that made him sick but would have thought if it was the tablets he would have been sick days ago, if he has eaten poo could he start doing it more often or could it just be a 1 off?

Its quite common and sick that dogs will eat poo, rabbit, horse, cow, there own! Discourage it when you see Milo do it. I'm suprised it made him sick though.

Hope he is feeling better soon Xx

I'm afraid they all do it. You should put a stop to it if you see it but they are sneaky

Hope Milo is feeling better soon >Big Grin<
Bella seems to think poop is the most delicious thing there is. It hasn't made her sick but I've nearly been sick seeing it sick

Rocky was sick a couple of weeks ago after eating poo. Not the most pleasant experience for any of us. To be discouraged although can sometimes happen and you are unaware at the time. Surprised

if milo is eating his own poo and continues, you will have to look at the food he eats, maybe its lacking in vitamins that he needs.what food do you feed him

Tinkerbell was also sick a few weeks back after eating cat poo from the garden. She managed to find a chicken bone (not sure if it was in the cat poo) and it made her very poorly.

Really hard to discourage though, we keep an eye on her in the garden. And even then she will still find a way to eat it....like the other day she squatted for a wee right behind a lump of poo and took a huge mouthful as she was weeing (think she thought I wouldn't notice).

When Sophie was a pup she went through a phase of eating her own before we could get to clear it up.

Our vet told us to get there before her and put a drop of tabasco on it. She guaranteed Sophie would never eat it again Laughing

Thankfully, she stopped before we had to go to those measures but is very fond of rabbit poo or even horse poo given the chance Surprised
