What strange things have your dog eaten?
When Densil was out in the garden yesterday I noticed he was rummaging around in our potted plants area. He was munching on my mint plant. Later on when I was tidying up the lounge I found a load of regurgitated fir tree still complete on the branches and thought of my god however did he manage to swallow that lot! Just hope it all came back up again, lol.

Re: What strange things have your dog eaten?
As a very young pup, Logan had a real thing for eating the pebble dash of the side of my house. Every now and again I'd hear him crunching away and opened his mouth to see a mouth full of little stones!
Glad he out grew that

Lizzy once ate an ice cream stick...it came out the other end. Whole.
And of course there's the obligatory horse and chicken poo. Particularly annoying when you've got a what intolerant dog

Re: What strange things have your dog eaten?
Our 2 have not really eaten anything strange apart from when I caught Dylan crunching on what I thought was a stick. Turns out it was a manky chicken carcass. Made him drop it straight away

Last night at bedtime Rocky managed somehow to get hold of the little remote controller for the iPod and gave it a good chew, which is unusual for him. No idea how he got it though.

Taz has eaten loads of household stuff he especially plastic items like pens and slippers , but the most memorable items are , my daughters homework , a tampon and a carrot cake that was cooling on the work top ! ( he was sick several times after that one )

Lily ate 5 remote controls (not at the same time), skirting board. Lola ate the buttons off my blackberry phone, had to use a match stick in the holes to text! My sister's Labradoodle is the worst he has eaten plastic bags, sticks, plants he has a penchant for socks and knickers which come out the other end.

Re: What strange things have your dog eaten?
Effie has a fox unstuffed soft toy she plays with. What does Effie decide to do but bite the bloody ear of it Insted of dropping it like a good pup, she ran away turned looked at me and gulpped
With her only being 16 weeks old, I was thinking of the worst what will happen to her. 'will it get stuck in her belly?' 'will she be bad?' was ongoing for 2 days...
Then Sunday Thank god! Effies afternoon walk turned me in to a kid at a sweet shop... when she pooped and there was the ear! screamed at my partner... Its HERE the EAR is HERE!!!!!!!!!! (whilst poop in poop bag in my palm waving it)
Panic over.... Phewww!! Resolved the problem of it happening again Mr Fox has Zero Ears now

Re: What strange things have your dog eaten?
I also remember the 2 litter sisters i had 20 years ago, bess and lucy, pulling all the knobs off the washer and the cooker and eating them. They also chewed the bottoms off my kitchen cabinet doors and eat a box of polyfiller they dragged out of a cupboard. Thankfully it didn't hurt them but they pooped lego for a week.

This reminded me of my cousin's ex bf/fiance's dog. He had an exempt pitbull when the law came in. He was a very well behaved dog but the one thing he did was eat the back out of his boxers. I remember him saying,
"and, ya wouldn't have known they were ate until you tried to put them on!"

Re: What strange things have your dog eaten?
My old rottie managed to gt the knob off the front of the washing machine, and swallow it whole, cost just over £500 to get it back and that was some years ago, I often wonder if it would have made it out the other end and saved me some money

Re: What strange things have your dog eaten?
The first day that Boss was allowed outside I went to take him for his first ever walk. I took two steps out the front door and Boss went sniffing away onto a small patch of grass next to my house, suddenly i noticed he was eating something. It was a huge lump of fox poo he had it all around his face and on his nose!
I then spent the next half an hour cleaning him all up and then as soon as i finished he ran over to his vet bed and threw it all back up It smell worse coming out than it did going in

Oh this post is fantastic! Crazy Doggies!
Duke being a puppy is into ripping apart anything and everything he gets his little teeth into... nothing too strange yet.
My late staffy Jetta ate a WHOLE possum (they had a fight first also).. afterwards he looked like a keg and his rear end was vile for a few weeks.. (i want to vomit thinking about this whole ordeal!)
