sorry Lynn don't know what to say other than keep an eye on him and any strange behaviour it will have to be a trip to the vet I'm afraid , I can't think that there is anything they can do to make it any better at the moment. Hope he's ok ><

Re: Billy has just eaten a chicken carcass cooked
if it was a roast chicken carcus you arnt as bad as you think i deff wouldnt recommend feeding them but accidents happen the meat its self keeps the bones from drying out so still stay soft (chicken portions the heat gets to the bones and makes them hard and splinter)the only thing you can do really to help is feed dry bread as it coats the bones when going through the guts which stop bit sticking in the guts.
hope this is of some help

Re: Billy has just eaten a chicken carcass cooked
hope he is okay..it is a worry when they do things like that!
I give Jethro his endep tablet every night with some dried liver bits....it is so expensive, the dried liver is $4 for a piddly little amount from the butchers. So I just bought 2 sheep livers ( $8 ) and googled how to make dried liver treats. Had to boil them, then wash them, then slice them and dry them out in the oven. I did it outside in our little electric glass turbo oven because it absolutely stinks!! Sliced all the liver up after boiling in readiness and Winston the greedy pig jumped up on the outside table while I was inside getting tongs and scoffed over half of it in a few seconds! Not happy Jan!! All that work and it was gone in seconds..there is only a small amount left that I had already dried in the oven.. so Winston sure as hell won't be getting any liver treats for a while as his punishment!!
