This morning my oh came upstairs to wake me up.Milly was laid on my bed at the side of me when she heard my oh walking up stairs she jumped up and started barking in a very deep bark all her hair up on her back and as soon as he opened the door she growled at him until she realised who it was then she just started being her hypo fussy self Again.Looks like she was protecting me. Good little girl. Big Grin
My staff is very protective of the house and partners kids.

When I walk her a night she's very alert.

The only time she's ever gone for a dog was when a dog jumped at my face trying to bite me.
She acted all hard lol puffing out her chest and giving it large. Laughing

Aww good girl Milly. Tinkerbell would never protect me, she lets any old stranger walk over to us in the hope they fuss her.....which they usually do!

Just make sure it isn't too much this way in the home. It led to some serious problems with my Oldes. One became so aggressive over time that he was downright dangerous. Lovely towards his people but not at all tolerant of others. Hopefully this was just one of those out of sorts things when woken up. Unless you really need a guard dog, my suggestion would be to discourage any people aggression. Just my 2 cents. I hope Milly was just startled though.

I have told my other half to call out her name when he is walking upstairs.Or to call her name before he walks in to the bedroom this way she will know who it is,Then she will feel they is no need to protect me
