Vets
sorry if this is a silly question but i personally have never had to deal with it.
Do vets charge for check ups? Sapphire will have had both her needles and have been micro chipped when i pick her up next week but i want to take her to our vets just for a check up and for the vet to meet her etc. I'm just unsure if they charge for it, i don't mind paying but i don't want to go there then be bombarded with bills.

Re: Vets
Sorry I don't know, but I would imagine you would have to pay for something as vets do not do anything for nothing, unless you have a good one

Re: Vets
Generally a check-up is charged for.
The only time you are not charged is if you need to go back for a follow up of something you've seen the vet for......such as to remove stitches or check how a certain treatment is going.
Well, that's my experience anyways

Re: Vets
usually there is a charge but it should be small unless there are additional tests or procedures required as a result of the checkup

Re: Vets
The best way would be to phone and explain that you want your pup to get used to going to the vets, and would there be a charge? They may sugest that you see a veterinary nurse instead of a vet, and that will either be free or a lot less than a vet.
