Re: Do you trim your dog's nails?
I've been wondering if i should be doing that. Only had my dog 3 weeks so Im still learning loads. I weren't sure if they would trim themselves since he goes for a walk on payments 2 hours a day or if i should cut them.
Think I will have to they seem to be getting sharper, when i play fight with him its like fighting freddy krueger

dogs nails
yes i trim my dogs nails with a nail clippers i purchased from my local pet store, but you must be very careful while trimming your dogs nails, as the nails are full of tiny blood vessels, if you cut one of theses vessels it can be very painful for the dog. my advice is if your not confident about trimming your dogs nails is to go to your local vet, he will do the job for you and show you the correct way to carry out this procedure.

This is his achilles heel.
His nerves seem to come down much lower in the nail than typical.
Consequently, he goes mad if I produce a set of nail clippers. The local grooming salon also failed, as did the vet.
The solution - walk him on the pavement more than the fields.
