Hi Everyone!
New to this forum.
We just got ourselves (me and my kids) a 6 weeks old puppy. The owner told us to give him full cream milk for few weeks then send him to see Vet on his 8 weeks.
Any important information me and my kids would need while raising him. Would really appreciate it.
Thanks Everyone

Hi & welcome.

Firstly, NOOO! Do NOT give your pup full cream milk, it's very bad for him. Get a good quality puppy food & if necessary supplement with a special puppy milk (you can get it from your local pet store) or possibly goat's milk.

The 'breeder' is telling you to leave off seeing the vet until 8 weeks because (if you're in the UK) it's illegal to let a pup leave for its new home until it is at least 8 weeks!

Has your pup been wormed?

P.S. Any pics of Jayce would be lovely!

Hi from me & Katy Smile Congratulations on getting your new puppy Jayce, we would love to see some pics of him Love Struck
As Gilly has said, definitely no to giving him milk! You will end up with a very upset tummy! He needs a good puppy food as he's so young. He shouldn't have been taken from his mum & litter mates yet! He will miss out on learning doggy manners from his mum & siblings as I can speak from experience! Katy was taken from her mum at 5wks! (not by me I might add) She has issues interacting with other dogs as she wasn't taught how as a baby.
We have lots of info on here, have a look around & if you have any questions just ask & we will try to help Smile
