Some dog owners are a disgrace!

Hi everyone, just wanted to share this with everybody as in my opinion this is how dogs turn aggressive.

I was sitting in the vets waiting room last Thursday with Cooper when a rather large chap walked in followed by a very poorly looking lurcher type dog. He sat further up the waiting room from me but he was constantly swearing at the dog if it stood up. To me the dog was obviously in some discomfort but the owner didn't seem bothered at all. A few minutes went by when the dog once again got to its feet. This time the owner decided to whack the dog as hard as he could across the back with his chain leader. He screamed at it to sit down at the same time and Cooper hid behind my legs clearly petrified.

One of the vets came out and had a very stern word with the bloke involved saying that he would be barred from using the vets if he ever saw behaviour like that again. That's fair enough but also a bit unfair on the poor dog who was clearly in pain. I'm not a big lurcher fan but no dog deserves treatment like that, especially when it's already clearly in pain. I wonder what the owner would do if the dog turned around and got him by the throat??

If people can treat dogs like this imagine if they had kids !

This person should have the dog taken off him. Sounds to me as if they have an inferiority complex and have to control something and that something is this poor dog. Wonder what he would think if someone treated him like that

Its disgusting how people get away with treating an innocent animal like S*!#! Especially when they're already suffering, he was probably the reason the dog was in the vets in the first place no doubt!

That's what I was thinking, if he hits the dog like that it's bound to need vet treatment eventually.
I was really interested in joining the RSPCA but you need to have super powers not to want to give these people that treat animals like dirt a good slap!!

When someone treats their dog like rubbish i cant sit back and watch these type of pple that abuse animals should be shot

Some people are not worth giving oxygen too, why abuse an animal.

Exactly the same here. I think once my boss had caught me stamping on the face of some some scummy dog owner my career prospects would take a rapid nosedive. I'm not joking, I'd do it too.
